DAY 01 - Kalpitiya

Kalpitiya, a hidden gem on Sri Lanka’s northwest coast, offers a mix of adventure, wildlife, and serene beaches. Known for its kite surfing and dolphin watching, the peninsula comes alive from November to April with ideal wind conditions. Take a boat safari in the Kalpitiya Lagoon or Dutch Bay to spot playful spinner dolphins and even migrating whales (Dec – Mar). Nearby, Bar Reef (Sri Lanka’s largest coral reef) is perfect for snorkeling and diving. For nature lovers, the Wilpattu National Park(just 1.5 hours away) offers thrilling jeep safaris to see leopards, elephants, and sloth bears. Explore the historic Kalpitiya Dutch Fort or take a picturesque bike ride through fishing villages and salt flats. At sunset, relax on Alankuda Beach or enjoy fresh seafood at a beachside shack. For adrenaline seekers, kayaking through mangroves or sand dune bashing in Kudiramalai Point adds excitement. Kalpitiya blends adventure, culture, and untouched beauty, making it a must-visit for explorers.

DAY 02 - Sigiriya

Sigiriya, Sri Lanka’s ancient rock fortress, is a UNESCO-listed marvel blending history, art, and nature. Beyond the iconic Lion’s Paw entrance and frescoes of celestial maidens, explore the Mirror Wall, once polished so finely that the king could see his reflection. Climb to the summit ruins for panoramic views of lush jungles and distant mountains. Nearby, the Sigiriya Museum details the site’s engineering genius, including advanced hydraulics in the water gardens. For a quieter alternative, hike Pidurangala Rock at dawn for a breathtaking vista of Sigiriya itself. Discover the lesser-known Cobra Hood Cave, with its 5th century inscriptions, or cycle through surrounding villages to see traditional farming life. At sunset, join a jeep safari in Sigiriya’s buffer zone to spot elephants, deer, and exotic birds. End your visit with a cultural show or a meal at a local farmhouse, tasting jackfruit curry and other regional specialties. Sigiriya is more than a rock—it’s a journey through time.
